Do you know how people often want to make a real change in their lives but are not successful, especially with long term change? I support my clients in making transformational change in their lives that lasts; sustainable change, so that when they wake up in the morning and look in the mirror, they smile!
I am John McBride, and I would like to tell some of who I am so you can get to know me better. I have been effectively supporting thousands of clients in reducing their stress and significantly improving their health in the Asheville and Charlotte areas of North Carolina since 1988. I am a highly motivated and very competent service professional with over twenty years of experience as an entrepreneur in the fields of Wellness and Personal Transformation.
I have completed a year-long Health Coach Training Program. In addition to my experience as a highly skilled bodywork practitioner, I have also applied techniques with clients acquired through participating in the Basic and Advanced Intensive Leadership Training Programs with the Legacy Center in Raleigh, NC. I have integrated years of experiential Co-Counseling, as well as being a certified Mediator, and involved in leading numerous personal transformation groups. Additionally, I have a B.A. degree in Counseling Psychology.
I have always had a deep curiosity and interest in people and Big Picture thinking about the world. I am good at creating alternative ways to proceed and can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues. I have always had a great desire to learn and to continuously improve myself and the world around me. The process as much as the outcome excites me. I have always had a fascination with ideas and finding the connections in the mysteries of life. I can intuitively sense the feelings of other people and can often easily imagine what it’s like in others’ lives and situations. I am a critical thinker with a compassionate heart. I have great stamina, I have always been a hard worker. I take great satisfaction from being productive.
I learned much about Sustainable Living as an active member of Earthaven Intentional Community for seven years. I am blissfully married to my life partner, Marcela, and I am the proud father of my amazing son, Dylan, who is such a blessing in my life! He and Marcela keep me playful and laughing~ what a gift. I have travelled extensively in Europe, Central and South America and I speak Spanish conversationally. I love playing soccer, volleyball, drumming, long walks at sunset, creative expression, and just being alive. Blessed be.
Growing up surrounded by entrepreneurship on both sides of my family, I understand the unique challenges we face as we grow our business dreams into reality. I have owned and managed multiple businesses throughout my life starting at age 17 with a family-owned coffee shop. I have always had a passion for small business and feel that small business entrepreneurship has the power to transform our current culture from profit-driven business, to a people-focused and purpose driven structure. I believe that this is the only choice if we are to move forward into positive evolution of humankind in a sustainable way for all.
Working in the health and wellness industry over the last 5 years as a consultant, I have come to understand the unique health concerns that we face as a culture today. Stress related disease is at a level we have never seen before. There are simple steps that you can implement in your life that can make a radical transformation from a stress-run, reactionary existence to a thriving, vivacious life!
As your entrepreneurial success coach, I believe that tapping into your life- source of curiosity and creativity is at the core of creating your ideal business and personal life. You are powerful beyond measure. Your possibilities in this life are absolutely unlimited! All the great teachers have been saying this same thing. We live in fascinating times.
